While attempting to type "diskutils" in terminal, I accidentally entered "di" instead. This prompted the system to immediately shut-down and reinstall OSX (10.13.4).
As far as I can tell, my system is otherwise fine, my home directory contains all of my files. However, I'd like to know exactly what I did. Does anyone know what "di" actually does?

There’s no “di” command on my system (macOS 10.13.3), nor is there “diskutils” but I think you mean “diskutil”. Perhaps it was coincidental?
