This is a longshot! My macintosh has crashed and gone into darwin, I can no longer get back into panther and have no idea what to do. I am able to login as a root user after that Im stuck. If anyone can help I would be very grateful!!

Can you provide some more info - was anything changed just before this happened? What error messages do you see? does the machine have additional RAM fitted? can you boot the machine with a system disc or external drive?
