set a source folder in powershell

I have been using batch files to find the size of folders but would rather use powershell for some of these tasks.
In a batch file I can set a source and destination folder then use the variable in the command line.

I can't seem to find a comparable methos in PowerShell.

For example:
:: Set the Source path.
echo Type or Drag and Drop the Source Path:
set /P "source_path_1=Source Path = "

Then use the source path as the variable:

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
