MSPRESS Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 Resource Kit ISBN 1-57231-344-7

For more recent systems, you are better off just using a little VBS script as WSH is built-in from XP onwards

Theres an example of this on the shortcut page
https://ss64.com/nt/shortcut.html

so you just add a line like

CSCRIPT C:\myshortcut.vbs

is there a tool that helps create the vbs script since I am not a master scripter that you recommend?

I'm not aware of any other tools, but vb is really not that hard, the only way to learn is to give it a try smile

I use a program that I got off the 'net years ago.

According to its help page, the site it came from is http://www.optimumx.com/
