Some detailed notes here about performance of Windows 7 Robocopy (XP027) vs The WinXP Robocopy (XP010)

After quite a bit of trial and error I realized that both the "/b" and "/mir" options seem to have a significant (negative) impact on the time required as well as extra network traffic when using the Windows 7 (XP027) version of Robocopy but not with the XP010 version (can't speak to other versions).

This may be related to the SMB/cifs changes in Windows 7/2008, so the results might be better when copying between two Windows 7/2008 machines?
