TRICKY FILTERS

hey all, ok at school we have a filter that blockes all the "bad" sites, a friend of mine managed to get some of the sites using command prompt, he got up command promt and typed in "tracert www.*********.com" which would give the IP address for that site and then we would just type that into the internet explorer address bar, and it would bring it up, however this only works for some of the sites. can anyone out there come up with some type of somthing that would get alow we to get past the filter and have a look at these other sites...and by the way they arnt the naughty sites...they dont even give us access to google images... =[ ..ok so know u know the issue...how can it be done...

Thankyou

Re: TRICKY FILTERS

There are lots of possible ways around filtering software - here's a recent metafilter thread with a few options
http://ask.metafilter.com/mefi/26184

That said, if you find a way around the filter, the school may not be too happy - try talking to someone in authority about the problem, if you can present a clear rational case for changing things they may be prepared to compromise.
