Linux Linpus Boot Problem

I am a Windows user. I have recently purchased an Acer Aspire One. Unit worked great for 1 month. Booted up over weekend and unit boots up to an "x" as a cursor and won't go any further. X will move but cant get to GUI to see anything. Any ideas?

Re: Linux Linpus Boot Problem

You can probably boot it into recovery mode - if it came with a recovery disc, try that or else press the ESC key while GRUB is loading and then select the 'fix packages' option

I havent used Linpus, but I've noticed a few people seem to prefer loading ubuntu on those Acer laptops
