Many thanks Simon for the succinct information and elegant presentation. I especially appreciate the even-handed treatment of the three persuasions (Mac, Linux and Win). I use all three and although I do have a strong preference, I am tired of the flame-thowing that is so common in other forums.
Thanks too for the great book lists. This has been my best internet stop in years!

This site is a MUST for all people, who want to learn something. There are many sites (similiar to this one) on the internet, but none is visited or well made as SS64.com. Good interface, great idea, and an elegent and excellent job. Keep doing this MR. Sheppard. Quite a lot of people are using it. It's always a first link on google. That fact itself is saying more then enough. ;-)
